About my position

As an Associate Designer, I took charge of sourcing inspiration for upcoming seasons, creating detailed techpacks for each style, communicating with manufacturers, and more. I made sure that each style met TCEC's style, fit, and functionality standards.

Design Process

Trend & Competitive Research: Conduct in-depth analysis of upcoming trends, consumer behavior, and competitor offerings to inform design direction. Utilize research to create mood boards and concept presentations that align with brand identity and customer demands.

Sketching: Develop initial design concepts through hand-drawn sketches. Translate ideas into detailed fashion flats using Procreate and Adobe Illustrator, ensuring clarity for our manufacturers.

Creation of Tech Packs: Assemble comprehensive tech packs that include technical drawings, fabric selections, colorways, and construction/measurement details.

Fit Testing: Collaborate with production team during fit sessions to evaluate garment prototypes. Provide feedback and submit necessary adjustments to achieve optimal fit and functionality.

Tradeshows: Participate in industry tradeshows (in Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas and more) to showcase new collections and gather insights on emerging trends. Engage with buyers to ensure upcoming collections align with their needs
